Daniel Chavez Moran: Helping Those in NeedDaniel Chavez Moran celebrates community organizations that seek to improve the lives of those in need.

Un Techo para Mi Pais (A Roof for My Country), founded in 1999 in Chile, has worked to improve housing for underserved populations, benefitting 43,000 families in 14 countries. Comunidades de la Tierra (Communities of the Earth) has supported the development of rural businesses and the formation of community groups to aid low income communities in Guatemala since 2004. The two groups were recognized as second- and third-place winners of the 2010 Grupo Vidanta Foundation Prize.

Applications for the 2011 Grupo Vidanta Foundation Prize are open until May 31, 2011.
